From the Loch’s to the Lake’s

Day12

Round the coast of Dumfries & Galloway Stopping at Kirkcudbright with its impressive war memorial and a plaque remembering the town cat. All the fishing boat out at sea today. Going on a quick local ice cream then passing Gretna Green stopping at the old “Devils Porridge ” site a WW1 Munitions factory spreading 9 miles along the coast with 30,000 workers, the towns of Gretna and Eastriggs built to house them, with no pubs to affect production. By 1920 the factory was gone. Interesting museum.
Onto the M6 giving the Twin turbo’s a blast we are soon in England then the Lakes for tonight’s stopover Now in England we are on our way home.
